Debbie Chamberlain's multifaceted career spans education, mindfulness, and children's literature. With over 20 years in education since 2001, she holds a bachelor's in education, a master's in curriculum and instruction, and certifications in mindfulness, yoga, and wellness. As an instructor at the Southwest Institute for Healing Arts, she inspires future change-makers.
Debbie founded Myndfulness Matters to provide wellness strategies for individuals and families, demonstrating her commitment to fostering awareness, compassion, and resilience. As a children's author, she merges her writing passion with wellness expertise to facilitate healing through words.
Her latest venture, co-founding Hearts in Harmony, combines mindfulness with storytelling to equip children with tools for inner peace and self-expression. This innovative program exemplifies Debbie's dedication to nurturing young minds through creative and therapeutic methods.
Debbie aims to integrate her love for teaching writing with wellness advocacy, empowering communities to manage stress, regulate emotions, and cultivate self-love. Since 2000, Melissa Savage has dedicated her career to child and family therapy. Her professional path took an additional turn when she completed an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University in 2013. This educational endeavor has led to significant success in the literary world, with Melissa securing four contracts with Penguin Random House as a middle-grade novelist.
Melissa's background in therapy deeply influences her storytelling, allowing her to craft novels that sensitively address issues faced by many families. Her commitment to helping children extends beyond her writing and therapy work. As a philanthropist, Melissa founded the Tobin Scott Foundation, a creative writing program designed to support children navigating the challenges of pediatric illness or loss.
Continuing her mission to positively impact young lives, Melissa is now expanding her work through a new venture. She has co-founded Hearts in Harmony, an initiative that combines mindfulness practices with storytelling. This innovative approach aims to provide children with tools for peace and self-expression, further demonstrating Melissa's dedication to nurturing young minds through creative and therapeutic methods.
